Symptoms of Malaria vary but typically include: fever, headache, fatigue and muscle aches. Cough and diarrhoea may also occur. Malaria can be fatal if left untreated. Anyone who has been in an area where there is a Malaria risk and is displaying these symptoms should seek medical help straight away. Not only is Malaria transmitted by mosquitoes, in many tropical countries, mosquitoes can spread other diseases such as dengue, chikungunya, West Nile, Yellow Fever and Zika.
